Your mask is an important part of your positive airway pressure (PAP) treatment because it plays a key role in providing the correct treatment pressure. Many patients receiving PAP therapy breathe through their mouths, and air leaking from the mouth during treatment may compromise therapy. A reduction in pressure increases the chance of additional apneas and hypopneas. The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 is more suitable than a nasal mask in this situation because it allows delivery of the treatment pressure through your nose and/or mouth. The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 brings together the latest innovations in mask design and materials to improve performance, comfort, durability, safety and ease of use.

Features & Benefits

• Double-layer, contoured cushion inflates with air pressure and gently floats on the face, eliminating the need for tight headgear while still providing a secure seal. Because the cushion is contoured to the nose, only the soft membrane touches the sensitive nose bridge.
• Forehead stability arm improves seal.
• Circular headgear design cups the crown of the head for added support.
• Breath-O-Prene™ headgear material draws moisture away from the skin and allows air to circulate.
• Latex-free and neoprene-free.
• Anti-asphyxia valve that automatically opens if the flow generator ceases operation (e.g., during a power failure) enabling you to breathe room air while still wearing the mask.
• Quick-release tab can be pulled to release the headgear and mask in case of an emergency.

As of October 1, 2005, the sale of Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 will discontinue in the US, Canada, and Latin America. Existing inventory will continue to be sold until depleted, and spare parts for this product will continue to be supported for a period after this date.
